In the first 10 months of 2006, German imports to India increased by almost 50% while Indian exports to  Germany grew by 26%.  With this Germany has taken the lead as India’s No.1 trading partners in EU.

 

The recent discovery of India as a significant location and market place impressively confirms the foresight of many entrepreneurs, who are already doing business on the sub-continent.  If the market has been entered successfully, margins higher than in China or the domestic market in Germany can be achieved.  It is a fact that the bilateral trade is growing leaps and bounds.  In the first 10 months of 2006, i.e. January to October 2006, German imports to India increased by almost 50% while Indian exports to Germany grew by 26%.  In the meantime, Germany has taken the lead as India’s Number 1 trading partner in the European union.  It is relevant to mention that some of the German industrial majors like Volkswagen, BMW, Metro have ambitious plans of investment in India in the next few years it would not be inappropriate to mention that German politicians and businessmen are coming to India to invite Indian Investment to Germany to make Germany more competitive and strong.
