GTZ, German Development Cooperation has undertaken to assist small scale industries in the phase out of CTC and hence engaged TFSC as a consultant for this purpose.

The scope of the collaboration was to assist small scale industries in the phase out of CTC and enable them to take informed decisions with regard to alternative solutions. Industrial profile of Tamil Nadu was mapped broadly and a report prepared for the GTZ Project. The objective of this exercise is to identify those industrial groups who are potential users of Carbon Tetra Chloride (CTC), so that they can be assisted in phasing out of this material. Series of seminars at various locations were organized and the seminars addressed the concerns, alternatives solvents and further assistance available from GTZ.
